ABSTRACT

Graphene synthesis methods have witnessed many pathways in order to produce high-quality graphene with a high degree of coverage area. Two kinds of mechanical methods are available to exfoliate graphene from graphite: normal force method and lateral force method. Graphene can be produced epitaxially over the transition metal surfaces through the vapor deposition process, which is based on the transfer of material in the vapor phase at either atomic or molecular level. Graphene obtained from the mechanical exfoliation method is of good quality; the preparation process is exceptionally simple, and the complete fabrication process finishes in a few minutes. This chapter highlights the fascinating and magnificent properties of graphene, which has huge prospects for many applications. It have been studied in detail with respect to the suitability of the method to the VLSI interconnect fabrication application. .
