ABSTRACT

The 12th chapter presents the MDA framework, one of the most important tools that designers need in every part of the production process; the reader is introduced to the concepts of Mechanics, Dynamics, and Aesthetics, alongside with some variations of the MDA framework, and the possibility of creating their own framework if no other tool suits their design process. The chapter is divided into two parts, one covering the theory behind this tool, as well as the taxonomies and related tools used alongside the MDA framework, and one focusing on its practical use, including an example of what such a document may look like.
