ABSTRACT

This chapter covers the main differences between Analysis and Design, two different subjects that need to be fitted together and coexist to push a game further. It talks about subjective values and different audiences, the power of good analysis and marketing, and the ‘design thinking method’, a tool to understand one’s audience and what their needs and expectations for the game are. Lastly, it talks about the different types of data: each one has unique qualities and, therefore, a unique use, but both need to be understood for a successful user satisfaction.
