ABSTRACT

Patient safety culture refers to the attitudes, beliefs, values, and practices that shape the way healthcare providers and organizations approach patient safety. It encompasses the entire healthcare system, from individual providers to hospitals and other healthcare organizations, and encompasses a range of activities designed to reduce the risk of harm to patients. Patient safety culture is focused on the aspects of organizational culture that relate to patient safety. This chapter aims to describe patient safety culture-related issues, moreover, describe the recommendations for the best practice in developing countries.
