ABSTRACT

Patient safety is a critical issue in healthcare, and research is needed to identify and address patient safety issues in developing countries. When conducting patient safety quantitative research in developing countries, researchers should work in partnership with local organizations and community members, be aware of power dynamics, use appropriate methods, ensure data quality, address ethical concerns, and communicate findings to stakeholders. By following these recommendations, researchers can conduct high-quality quantitative research that is ethical, culturally sensitive, and has a positive impact on the local community. This chapter aims to describe the patient safety research issues related to the literature review, importance, facilitators, barriers, challenges and recommendations for the best practice in developing countries
