ABSTRACT

Load flow analysis is the most important and essential approach for power system operation and planning. The analysis can provide a balanced steady operation state of the power system, without considering system transient processes. The load flow analysis is an important fundamental tool in planning and designing the future expansion of the system besides economic scheduling of existing systems. Various analysis methods like Gauss-Seidel, Newton-Raphson, Fast Decoupled Load Flow Analysis and DC Load flow analysis are employed. As the system is growing and becoming more complex, faster, simpler and more efficient mathematical formulations with less storage are the requirement ensuring convergence.
