ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the causes and origins of taste and odour problems in drinking water supplies. The methods for the removal of taste and odour in water are discussed. Topics on membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, desalination, etc., are discussed with specific reference to water treatment. Water stabilization to prevent corrosion and encrustation is also presented.
