ABSTRACT
In Chapter 2, the main sources of water are discussed and the broad categories are defined. A comparison of surface and groundwater sources is presented in a table. The components and processes involved in the collection and conveyance of water from its source to the consumer are presented in this chapter. Various types of intake structures, depending on the various sources, are also discussed.
