ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes the development and applications of speckle contrast diffuse correlation tomography (scDCT) as presented throughout the book. The accomplishments made through instrumentation and theoretical work and phantom, simulation, mastectomy skin flap, burn/wound, and brain studies are highlighted. Limitations with the current implementations are enumerated as they pertain to relevant circumstances. The future directions for scDCT are covered lastly. These include resolutions in progress and those already in place to some of the mentioned limitations. Insights are also offered into improvements that increase the utility of scDCT in other aspects. These final details provide the reader with a wide view for applying and adapting scDCT to their own needs.
