ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to the swarm optimization algorithms: Cuckoo Search (CS) and Bat Algorithm (BA). The standard Cuckoo Search based on the Lévy Flights and some important variations of the Cuckoo Search algorithm are presented such as: Chaotic Cuckoo Search, Discrete Cuckoo Search and Discrete Binary Cuckoo Search. Also, the Bat Algorithm and some important variations of the algorithm are discussed such as: Chaotic Bat Algorithm, Binary Bat Algorithm, Discrete Bat Algorithm and also two recent variants: Bat Algorithm with double mutation (2020) and Self-adaptive bat algorithm (2019).
