ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with a few advanced topics, which may also open perspectives for future research. First, a characterization of the Gini index is given for the special family of distributions with a mean residual life linear in time. Second, an expression is provided for the differential entropy as a function of the k parameter.
Perspectives for future research, including machine learning methods, are then outlined.
