ABSTRACT
This chapter develops basic and advanced concepts on convex analysis and duality theory. Topics such as convex functions, weak lower semi-continuity, polar functionals and the Legendre transform are developed in details. Among the topics on duality theory, we highlight the min-max theorem and the Ekeland variational principle.
