ABSTRACT
Integrated weather forecast means all forecast information along with agro-advisories are to be given to the farmers for taking weather-based farm decisions one by one from long range to short range from Agro-Met Feld units of India Meteorological Department in temporal dimension. But presently they give only medium range weather forecast information along with agro-advisory. In India there are three weather systems and those are: South west monsoon season, North east monsoon season and western disturbance. Weather sensitive rice agro-met advisories were developed for its nine stages through group discussions based on rice crop sensitiveness to selected weather windows. Validation or verification is an important tool to understand the value of forecast information given for taking farm decisions. The verification is required to improve the method of forecasting to model developers and also to develop confidence on the forecast received by the farmers as indicated earlier.
