ABSTRACT
Parapet resistance to vehicular collision loading is discussed in detail and equations from the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications are summarized. Design of primary deck reinforcing for both interior bays and overhang sections is presented in detail, including strength, crack-control, and extreme event criteria.
