ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 presents three methods for the calculation of live load distribution factors, which enable the bridge engineer to perform girder design by line-girder analysis. AASHTO equations, the lever rule, and the rigid cross-section method are all included and the focus is on I-girder bridges.
