ABSTRACT
As we create Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the image of humanity, AI Ethics looks at what’s happening and how we can build AI to be the best of us. Using Asimov’s laws of robotics as a, the chapter first uses the Trolley Problem as an example of ethics 101. Stories from the Catholic Church, Tay the racist Twitterbot and others are then used to discuss AI ethics. The many ethics guidelines written by universities and institutes are considered. Big Tech’s approach to ethics is reviewed, especially the challenges faced by Google.
