ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the history of Virtual Reality (VR) and makes some predictions for the year 2030. By studying this history, readers can better comprehend the attempts and efforts of researchers trying to develop and extend the capabilities of VR, as well as how the technology is used in other fields such as medicine and social activities. This chapter will also look at Unity; one of the most well-known game engines introduced ever. We'll start by reviewing the history of Unity, followed by the installation process and how to run the software. The essential parts of Unity, windows and sections, are shown. Techniques for exporting EXE files and adding code into Unity are summarised and reviewed. We'll also explore ways in which one can downgrade their Unity version to better work with projects developed in previous versions.
