ABSTRACT

Video conferencing takes a “Zoom”ing upward trend: For the most part, businesses have used some sort of video conferencing tool in order to hold meetings, especially if they have remote workers dispersed in different geographic areas. Back in December 2019, the word “Coronavirus” was just starting to make the news headlines. Supposedly, the first outbreaks of it happened in the Wuhan province of China. The amazing thing is that this has been launched in just a matter of three months, rather than the three to four years many cybersecurity experts predicted it would take. But given the unexpected uptick in the COVID-19 positivity rate, the remote workforce will likely become, more or less, a permanent scene that is already starting to precipitate. A huge cyber problem that is compounding Corporate America is the lack of a solid cybersecurity workforce. While there are skilled workers out there, it is simply not enough today.
