ABSTRACT

It examines the growth of Ghana’s construction industry and the development of labour-intensive works in the country. It also examines Ghana’s national labour-intensive public works policy and other labour-intensive job regulations. A summary of Ghana’s climatic conditions is included in this section. It was discovered that low labour productivity could be attributed to some different causes, such as owner delays in funding and paying for completed work, contractor inexperience, owner scope adjustments during construction, contractor delays in furnishing and delivering the job site, and project funding allocations that were too rigid (donor-related). Additionally, Ghana’s task completion rate was assessed. The weather in Ghana was taken into account, and it was discovered that between the hours of 12:00 and 15:00, the temperature rises from 35°C to 44°C. During the rainy season, Ghana experiences an average of eleven days of rain per month in some areas of the country.
