ABSTRACT

Social media which has the task of connecting people has been used for several other purposes as well like marketing. While most of them had a Facebook page or a Twitter account, very few of them were able to successfully engage customers through them. The engagement level was measured using influence, intimacy, interaction, and involvement. Social networking site is a platform on the internet which helps to increase social connections between people. It has developed into an important channel for marketing communications. Many researchers have found that SNS is a good option for promoting goods and services through online campaigns. In this digital era, many aspects of social interactions have changed dramatically. Whether people are looking for information or not, they are being exposed to abundance of information. Earlier information regarding destinations reached tourists through marketers but nowadays everybody is able to share information about a destination through social media by posting their comments and reviews.
