ABSTRACT
There are four major types of inlets used for street drainage. They are the grate inlet, curb-opening inlet, combination inlet, and slotted inlet. Each one has its pros and cons in practice. In general, the major concerns in the selection of street inlets are debris clogging, hydraulic efficiency, traffic interference, and public safety.
