ABSTRACT
The main goal for a detention basin is to warrant that the flows released do not exceed pre-development conditions. The performance of the detention basin under design is represented by its stage-storage-outflow curve. In this chapter, we will continue our effort to evaluate the performance of the example basin discussed in Chapters 14 and 15. The flow-frequency relationship is employed as the basis to quantify the impact of the development and the mitigation effectiveness of the proposed detention system.
