ABSTRACT
This chapter follows on from Chapter 2, which is an introduction to health and safety. In this chapter we will take a higher level approach. When you complete your T Level, or other engineering Level 3 qualification, you will be at a level where your understanding and skill are at an average level for the engineering industry. In other words, you will be at a level at which you will be not only expected by your employer to take responsibility for your own and other’s health and safety, but to take a lead in this area by actively carrying out health and safety tasks and being involved in the decision-making discussions.
