In engineering we make a lot of calculations based on mathematical principles, that is we apply numbers to situations, this is to guide us engineers on how to tackle a job, or work out how to go about making something. It is about calculating sizes, shapes, weights, loads, velocity and acceleration. This chapter sets out to take you through typical formulas and concepts of engineering calculations.
