ABSTRACT

A unique feature of the Society is its regional structure forming spokes of the international umbrella, each independent with its own internal governance, its own elected regional officers (including regional president, regional secretaries and regional treasurers), but nevertheless fundamentally a part of the whole international Society. Chapter 4 describes the overall regional structure, with smaller units being national groups, along with general principles of the formation and operation of these entities. The four regions (Eastern North American Region, British Region, Western North American Region, and the Australasian (consisting of Australia and New Zealand Region) all formed in the first year of the Society’s existence are described.
