ABSTRACT
How do we model with rates of change? What are ways we can represent and visualize the data and models together? This chapter provides an introduction to three main themes for the text: (a) modeling with rates of change, (b) developing models from a contextual perspective, (c) and qualitatively understanding long-term model prediction. This chapter provides a foundation to work with data, rates of change, and models.
