ABSTRACT
This chapter uses bootstrap sampling for a dataset to demonstrate plotting histograms and calculating confidence intervals in R. Through direct inspection, the tradeoffs between the number of bootstrap samples and the confidence interval is explored. Bootstrap sampling is a preview for incorporating sampling techniques for nonlinear model parameter estimation.
