ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we build a program that can count the number of contained elements and characterize the type of object by measuring some of its structural parameters. For this purpose, it is necessary to isolate each binary object contained in the image (segmentation). Once each binary object is isolated, several other important properties can be evaluated, such as the number of objects, their location, and how many pixels integrate the object.
