ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the developed multi-mode resonant antennas for miscellaneous applications. Multi-mode resonant antenna examples have been raised. As can be seen, the multi-mode resonant concept has been employed to design high performance antennas in mobile/wireless communications, wearable communications, implantable communications, vehicular communications, millimeter wave communications, broadcasting, radio identification (RFID), passive coherent location (PCL), etc. Practical prototypes developed by the authors and other research groups have been introduced in detail. The effectiveness, robusty and generality of design approach to multi-mode resonant antennas have been thoroughly validated to versatile. As can be seen, the multi-mode resonant antenna design approach is still valid even the antennas’ operation environment is critically limited.
