ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on load management and forecasting. This chapter introduces load forecasting solution techniques, load curves and factors, and forecasting modeling. The load curves and selection of the number and sizes of the generation units are discussed. Prediction of load and energy requirements is developed. The additive seasonal architecture is obtained in this chapter. Forecasting modeling methods are explained. The regression model Brown’s smoothing method, Trend model, load forecasting using quadratic regression, and load forecasting using the additive seasonal model are obtained.
