ABSTRACT

The chapter reviews the principle behind each positioning system using Differential GPS, RFID and Wireless Sensors. It also emphasizes the importance of DGPS-WS-RFID integrated system to improve accuracy, continuity and reliability of tracking solution. It enhances how standalone system solution is compensated with integrating system and highlight some of their advantages and limitations. The aim of the current research is to demonstrate a method to track trains using automated technologies such as GPS and report their location automatically. But knowing train location through GPS satellite may transmit information data on certain part of track with great circulation delay. Hence, depending on the accuracy of the positioning service of the system, sending surveillance information from train is easy for analysis. Higher requirements are set for safety and availability of train and track real-time information is achieved using our model. The basic work is obtaining real-time train identification and monitoring using DGPS-WSN-RFID-based technology. For processing the data is transmitted to central control unit through the GSM network. Integrating two or more wireless technologies becomes a hot topic in the communication technology-based market.
