ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 addresses how we can determine the reliability or expected failure time of common systems. The chapter demonstrates how we can use the probability concepts introduced in Chapter 4 to determine the reliability of equipment. We will develop models for system components that are in series or parallel to determine the reliability of the system. The chapter will also review how to determine the reliability of active redundant and standby redundant systems.
