ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 discusses the concepts of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and how to use them to develop a more robust solution to problems. The chapter provides an understanding of analytical solution techniques for separable and linear ODEs. The chapter also addresses methods for homogeneous and non-homogeneous systems and the use of technology to solve these type problems. Systems of differential equations are shown in a modeling context and include predator-prey and SIR models.
