ABSTRACT
Whether we call it DFSS, V-Model or Agile, at some point, the design team needs to develop an understanding to what is to be developed and lay the foundation of the means of achieving their goals. Previously, a model along with a roadmap of activities that help the design team to navigate the product development maze. The initial steps in the process (or road) map required that we start with developing the PRD. In this chapter, more details are provided on how to lay a foundation of a systems-level understanding for design and development of products; how to obtain and rank VOC and cast them either in requirements or similarly in Epics and Stories. The focus will be on brainstorming ideas and creating the foundation of the design.
