ABSTRACT
In the current scenario, the energy and power deficiency is the major challenge across the world. Due to this, the world is much concerned about the concept of green communication (G Comm.) and the ideas of green communication computing (GCC). This chapter will give the reader a broad idea about the GC and GCC. This chapter also discusses about the topics such as GC, origin of GCC, green and sustainable computing methods, and advantages and disadvantages of GCC. Apart from this topic, this chapter also gives the overview of energy consumed in various IT sectors. This chapter also highlights the energy consumption and CO2 consumption in the world with respect to the current population.
