ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book describes analytics project categorization from the three-axis point of view, including a look at analytics maturity, data maturity and IT maturity, illustrating the maturity levels of the three pillars of analytics. It highlights the differences between ad-hoc and robust initiatives as one of the key parameters for the initiative’s start, which remains influential throughout the delivery. The book utilizes typical analytics initiatives and demonstrates different WoW for them. It also describes the challenges that the industrialization of ad-hoc projects can bring and situations arising from how analytics initiatives change over time – time impact. The book shows typical analytics initiatives like building complex reporting or delivering AA projects. It also highlights what is specific for the analytics/data-driven projects, and describes the possible ways to deal with the complexity and analytics initiatives’ specifics.
