ABSTRACT

Generally, each young professional should have the basic understanding of digital transformation. However, labor market is not only about fresh workforce, so flexibility of all other employees has deep effects on transformation efficiency. Even if we say that some parts of a company are “digitalized”, there is a need for constant adaption if we’d like to stay on the top of competitive market. Not doing so will affect our stability in the long run.

Apart from basic definitions, this chapter explains the key elements in starting digital transformation. Research on how deep it goes in terms of cultural and organizational mindset is also presented. Clear statement on how (digital) change is needed in times when we feel “safe” and stabile is maybe the most important part to be taken from the book beginning.
