ABSTRACT

This chapter reinforces the value that community managers bring to their companies. It aims to instil more confidence for a role that is often undervalued, showing all the unique skillsets and tasks they are handling. The goal is to make them advocates for their skills, and thus their role, so they can be empowered enough to help other people break into the industry as well. If community management professionals across the industry stick together and industry veterans keep inviting new talented people in, everyone will win – players, companies, and fulfilled individuals. It reinforces the idea that once the book has been read and all the wanted knowledge has been absorbed, the book should be given to another person so they can benefit from it as well.
