ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 is designed to show the application of a polar coordinate system in analysis of stress and strain. It covers the concept of a stress field due to the line loading, stress concentration and stresses for pressure vessels. Stress analysis of the thin- and thick-walled pressure vessels is shown.
