ABSTRACT

The chapter discusses the importance of good execution and provides tips on how to achieve it. Leaders need to set priorities and sequence tasks, limit work in progress, make decisions, and have the necessary skills and resources. They often struggle with indecision and lack of resources. It discusses how perfectionism can be paralyzing and how work environment has an impact on good execution, with noise and chaos hindering focus and productivity. Creating an environment that supports good execution and balances the need to collaborate is important. Several tools are also introduced including the Eisenhower Matrix and lateral leadership.
