ABSTRACT

The project was installation of a second train of effluent water processing facility adjacent to the existing first train. The owner company had provided adequate space for the new second train and also had made provisions in certain common facilities anticipating the new train at a later date. The project included detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of equipment and associated utilities for an effluent water processing plant (second train). EPC contractor scope included detailed engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of facilities to the owner. The project scope was to process a large volume of separated effluent water coming out from various oil and gas processing facilities. The structural design expert reviewed the contractor’s calculations independently. They recommended that not only the structure needs to be strengthened, but the foundations also need strengthening.
