ABSTRACT

Certain overarching issues are not covered in typical project governance systems and are sometimes side-lined by senior management. This chapter presents such factors and argues that they are equally important for successful project delivery. They are project organization, team, and leadership at owner’s side, emotional intelligence, managing studies during the project, interface engineering during FEED, project risk assessment, importance of FEED data in oil & gas projects, value of project data, and lessons learnt. A summary of each of the above is given to establish the significance of the same.
