ABSTRACT

Given the plethora of digital health solutions on the market today, the adoption and satisfaction of these solutions by intended users becomes an essential consideration. Over the decades many models have been developed to assess user satisfaction and adoption. In addition, strategies like co-design, user-centred design and co-creation have been suggested as strategies to enhance both user adoption and satisfaction. It is important to note that when adoption is not voluntary the satisfaction of users becomes an even more important consideration. This chapter examines some of these models and strategies and suggests how they could benefit better user adoption and satisfaction.
