ABSTRACT
Georeferencing is to establish the relationship between image coordinates and ground coordinates through various functions, such as collinearity equation models, polynomial function models, rational function models and direct linear transformation models. This chapter describes on-board georeferencing using an optimized second-order polynomial equation on the basis of field-programmable gate array, which consists of five modules: input data, coordinate transformation, bilinear interpolation and output data.
