ABSTRACT

Human trust is an important factor in creating software that is reliable and durable at the same time. Considering human trust as a key component in software development, it includes some extra sub-factors that affect human trust in a systematic way that should be concerned upon. In this way, this chapter aims to give a full picture of human trust and how important it is to software durability as well as a collection of useful information about the different sub-factors of human trust in software durability. Hence, the chapter defines the dimensions of human trust; discusses the details of the role and responsibilities of an organisation for enhancing the durability of software, including pre-development, account manager, business analytics, software architect, domain expert, and software developer.
