ABSTRACT
To ease the achievement of sustainability aspirations and ensure successful Green Building (GB) development, the technical aspects of GB development and delivery require attention. Accordingly, this chapter investigates the technical success conditions of GB projects and their interrelationships. The chapter provides a detailed account of 38 success conditions and 43 sub-conditions identified by 75 industry experts from Australia, the UK, the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Pakistan. These technical success conditions are about changes during project development and the means to fulfil design intent; clarity in project development; approaches to define project goals and deliverables; project constraints; design methodology; process of engraving sustainability in project development; flow of project information; approaches regarding planning, inspection, monitoring, and control of the project; and timeliness of project activities.
