ABSTRACT

John instructs his staff to become active participants in selecting and taking training. He meets with members of the senior management team to explain internal audit’s views on the impact ethics and culture have on the quality of internal controls; then they discuss the approach to reviewing InSports’ corporate culture and ethics. An auditor, with instructions to broaden the reviewed practices and procedures while visiting a manufacturing facility, uncovers safety violations. The team discuss their book club, the creation of an exercise club, and gets trained on root cause analysis. John conducts a workshop for InSports employees, and team members discuss ways to make audit reports more accessibility. John discovers a team building and companionship practice his staff initiated, congratulates a staff member for effectively using various tools, and documents the need for his managers to provide spontaneous feedback.
