ABSTRACT

John’s flight from Miami crossed the Costa Rican airspace to the North and he quickly noticed the Pacific Ocean as the plane traversed the country to avoid some of its high mountains. They landed in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, but the flight was otherwise uneventful. Shortly after getting settled and being offered coffee, the receptionist took them to Javier Gonzalez’s office. The initial impression about the lack of readiness was confirmed as a significant amount of finishing was still required before manufacturing could begin. Just to the North, in an area cleared for no apparent reason, the team counted several excavators, skid-steer loaders, and bulldozers pushing material, a wheel loader filling up a dump truck, and the rear of a logging truck as it drove away on a dirt road.
