ABSTRACT

Russia has Received Global condemnation for its cyber and subsequent kinetic attacks on the sovereign country of Ukraine. It is also fair to say what can, and has been, used against Ukraine, and thousands of organisations, that is cyberattacks, could be and are being launched against Russia in retaliation for their cyber and kinetic war. In February 2022, the Hacktivist Group known as Anonymous announced on Twitter that it would launch continued, multiple attacks against Russia and, of course, the way it did this, like the vast majority of cyberattacks was that it gained access via insecure domains, subdomains, backdoor DNSs and servers. In retaliation, the ransomware groups Conti and Cooming Project announced their support for the Russian government. The Russian Telegram channel Aviatorshina said that Rosaviatsiya was hit by a severe cyberattack on Saturday 25 March 2022, which led to the collapse of its entire network.
