ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses common laboratory test equipment and sensors. Low-power sensors can often be powered from a computer’s USB power source for field measurements. Thermocouples are versatile and widely used temperature sensors that are not directly powered. Standardized voltage tables relate thermocouple voltages to temperature, and an offset formula can be used for non-standard reference temperatures.
